Author’s Biography

Photo of Ian Adams

Ian Adams is a Software Test Engineer currently living in Seattle, WA with his cat Postmaster P, and is working towards the long-term goal of breaking into the film industry. On the side, Ian is an amateur web designer, and is also a musician, writer, graphic artist and designer, and photographer. Ian considers himself a Bright, and encourages anyone with a naturalistic worldview to consider themself one as well, and to register to be counted among the constituency. Ian’s birthday only comes once every four years, being that his birthday is 29 February. He enjoys reading books perhaps a bit too much, and is always in desperate need of more bookshelves. Ian loves cajun food, and rumour has it that he also enjoys cooking a wide variety of foods, but is terrible at baking.

His current favourite movie is Dave McKean’s MirrorMask, however Ian is a sucker for zombie, science fiction, post-apocalyptic, and war movies, and also enjoys a legion of other films. Ian also considers video games a great pasttime, and is always up for a game of Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 for the Gamecube. It’s great at parties, and watching people try to read the menus in Japanese often invokes large amounts of hilarity. Ian is left-handed, but has no problems playing bass right-handed or using a right-handed mouse, unlike other whiny left-handed bitches. He feels that the greatest thing that television has ever produced was Patrick McGoohan’s The Prisoner, however Ian does not actually watch much television, preferring instead media without advertisements. (Despite the fact that he's developing a television series; he's going to try to sell it to HBO, who doesn't have ads during their programmes.) He enjoys a colossal variety of music, from Miles Davis to Wesley Willis to Radiohead to Dr. Dre to The Beatles, to name but a small handful, and remarks that the best show he’s been to was the Skinny Puppy concert in Seattle two years ago, where he was front row protecting his friend’s 60-year-old mum from the mosh crowd and having the time of his life.

Ian has plans to build a wooden sailboat and retire to Malta, where he will live out his days tinkering around his house, making movies, exploring the archaeological sites on Malta which stretch back as far as 5200 BCE, or just cruising around the Mediterranean.

Ian never writes in the third person.
