What is this place?

a warm gun is the personal web site of multimedia artist and resident geek Ian Adams, based out of Seattle, WA. The page you’re seeing shows all posts in the “Comments” category.

We are the true patriots[.] [W]e are the ideological decendents of those they revier[sic][.] [I]f Thomas Jefferson were alive today he'd be a Democrat.

They were intellectuals[.] Jefferson would [have] thought of Das Kapital as required reading. Thomas Payne[sic] would have cheered Castro and his defeat of the oligarchs in Cuba. Washington would have condemned our invasion of Iraq as exactly the sort of adventurism against which he warned in his farewell address.

Food for thought

In his first book, Obama wrote about how he did drugs when he was younger. Because of the penalties and the stigma of a criminal record, if he’d gotten caught he might be in prison now instead of running for President of the United States. What a terrible loss that would have been for our country. I for one am glad that he was able to “get away with” having the freedom to take his own risks and be responsible for himself and his own actions and choices, rather than just being labelled a criminal for the rest of his life.
