Train to Portland
So my ride to Portland flaked out on me, and now I’m waiting on the last train to Portland. Listening to Kyle the bistro car guy over the loudspeaker cracking lame jokes that I can’t help but laugh at.
The train was expensive. A last-minute ticket cost me $50, which is rather painful since that means it’s £100 less that I’ll have in England. Still, it’s better than missing out on my entire vacation and losing all the money I spent on train tickets, so I can’t complain too much.
At this point I’m thinking that it may just be better to go straight to the airport once I get to Portland, and avoid altogether the possibility of missing my flight.
I’m completely exhausted, and I’ve still got a long trip ahead of me, so I’m going to take advantage of the 3 or so hours of sleep I will try to eke out.
